South Indian Wedding..

Both me and Mayank had never had any chance to be a invitee to any South Indian wedding. We obviously wanted to experience the magic of South Indian wedding. One of the seniors from our college, who was three years senior to us was getting married and Mayank was invited on the wedding. Mayank was on the modelling team of the college group in the first year and so he got in touch with this guy and he was a good model too. Mayank asked me if I wanted to join him and he was sure I would never disagree. He gave me hints that this was a real high profile wedding and so we needed to be dressed good. I got myself an expensive outfit for that uninvited wedding and Mayank also got dressed. We decided to get a bouquet as a present for the wedding but later we decided to save the money instead and invest in our thunderbird fuel. We reached palace grounds and it was a high security place for the wedding. I asked Mayank if he had got the wedding card with him. He replied with a smile that he was only invited on facebook. I was astonished and later commented him that he could have bought a printout of the conversation in which he was invited and he could get it attested from the groom; we broke out into laughter. We walked towards the reception hall with no gifts in our hand but only a helmet. We entered and there were variety of soft drinks and milk-shakes there. We grabbed a few glasses and quenched our thirst for the evening. We saw a long line and people standing just to wish the couple with their gifts and blessings. We thanked God we didn't get any gift. We roamed around the hall for a few minutes and smiled at the beautiful girls in their traditional outfits and sometimes smiled on the video recording cameraman. We sat for a while and made ourselves comfortable at the dining hall. We entered and there were chaat and dahi vada on the left hand side and different types of dosa's on the right hand side. We had a lot of dahi vada's. Then there was pizza and chow chow. I had a few pizza pieces while Mayank was busy with the chaat. Then there was the main course and which were filled with all mouth watering dishes. We took around half an hour to complete our course on the main course. We stood there for a while and also got relaxed for a while for the dessert. The dessert had around 11 types of sweets and faluda and raita and phirni and a lot more. I had all the 11 types of sweet two pieces each and three plates of faluda. I burped a few times after that. Mayank asked to take a look around if we had left any  dish untouched. I saw every corner but there was nothing left to adventure more. Mayank asked me to search if there was any coffee. I found the coffee man near the exit. We even didn't leave the coffee. Then we were over and we decided to leave now. We were gifted a coconut each at the exit which was meant to be auspicious according to the Hindu tradition. After our grand meal we were unable to get on the bike. It was a real great experience. While it was time to leave, I came to know that the security was so tight because some of the MLA's of the state and an ex-Prime Minister Mr. H. D. Deve Gowda was coming for the wedding. Our eyes left open with surprise. We had an adventurous evening and seriously a great wedding. That made me feel that South Indian Wedding's are really great. To be frank weddings in any part of the country are great. Where the bride and groom sits silently and their friends dance the nagin dance and to the tunes of some best item songs. Indian weddings are the best place to adventure the taste of ethnic Indian dishes. Now-a-days even there has been the introduction of Italian, Chinese and Continental dishes on the wedding menu which has even made it more glorious. As for me, I have the habit of self inviting at the uninvited weddings. Indian Weddings are great.

I walk along..

Behind my dreams,my endeavors,
and my spirit, that struggles,
and my zeal, that dares me not to stop,
and I walk along..

As time passes on, the pain escalates,
with time my heart shatter's,
and it cries a sad sad song,
and I walk along..

The fear of betrayal that haunts me,
and one day you shall walk away,
leaving behind memories, and me all alone,
and I walk along..

Love ain't too harsh,as I had always thought,
and again walked with pride,
you'll be with me, as time with clock,
and I walk along..

One sunrise had no serenity and no peace,
you walked ahead of me,
and your love wakes me up,
and I walk along..

Behind my faith..

Behind the strings of my broken guitar,
there is a tune unsung,
I will sing it in your ears..

Across the smiles of my young heart,
there is a story revealed,
I'll say you; we'll meet soon..

Behind the spells of truth and false,
there are some commitments,
that I shall soon declare..

Behind the world of right and wrong,
there lie some hidden love,
someday we will soon share..

In midst of trust and faith of life,
there is a bonding of love,
we'll tie it with our hearts..

Beyond the attachments of life and death,
there is a world,
I will meet you soon there..

Night-out on Mysore Road..

Mayank's friend's, Prateek and Maninder were on a mini-trip to Southern India. They saw the beauty of  Bangalore and also visited Mahabalipuram , Mysore and Chennai. The only thing that was left out to make their trip memorable was a night ride in the Mysore Road. Bangalore-Mysore highway being one of the most tempting highways of India. We knew night riding wasn't safe on that road but sometimes in life the greatest regrets are the risks that are not taken. And to add to the list none of us were guys that would be afraid of challenges.

We started from our home. We headed towards Mysore road via Kadirahalli and PES College. We didn't get any cops till then and this time we decided to stop as the cops would be there or very soon we would be screwed. We again accelerated our bikes on the Mysore road crossing Gopalan Mall and RV college. After minutes of crossing RV college there were cops again and very decently we got down of our bikes and showed him our driving license and also said him that we left our documents at our rooms. He asked us to go to the police station. We tried our level best to talk and also did our best efforts at negotiations. He allowed the four guys to let off at 400 bucks. Thanks to corruption, we were still safe. He also ensured us that if next time any cop catches us, he would also let us go as we had paid the fine already (although it wasn't any legal fine). I met the first man who does such dishonesty with honesty. Now we were on the run again. We rushed along the Mysore Road and stopped a while to pee and also Maninder carried his photo shoot along. Again we were on the road and after few minutes we were at the Rasta Cafe.

We had to wait a while for our tables at Rasta as the place mostly remained over booked. We got our tables and we like the ambiance there and also the music was too good. We had coffee. Coffee was great. We skipped hookah as none of us had the urge to die early. We insisted for the pool table but the manager was sorry as it was booked till morning. We had to stick to the coffee and stare at the beautiful girls that seemed frustrated with their pervert boyfriends. The place was beautiful and the girls their were even better. The real beauty of rasta is defined the beautiful ladies crowd there.

We set out of Rasta and now we had
plans to get back to our home but then Mayank popped out the idea of going to Manchenabele Dam that was a 15km drive from Mysore Road. We didn't dare to reject. We stopped again at a Coffee Day to kill time. We grabbed samosa and also chocolate shots. With the shots we talked all of the beautiful girls we knew and our gossip seemed never ending. Somehow we ended and we got to the road and it was a beautiful road with sudden surprising bends and a few hundred meters of drive on a road reminded us of the road of Fast and Furious. The road that got down till Manchenabele lake just reminded me of my youth days at Assam where greenery and water with curvy roads were always along. We stopped for a while there. The rest of the people had their peace of mind as I had my morning prayers just beside the lake. After my prayers I was again on the fun. It was surprising as none of us felt sleepy that day. Mayank and me had some stomach problems as the previous day we had Roshan's birthday party at Barbecue nation and our bellies were full.

We were back to our rooms as Prateek and Maninder had trains back to Jaipur but am sure this trip in the sizzling night would always be cherished in the four of our hearts. Our journey was going to end and we being a little disappointed. Just then we saw a group of Harley Davidson rider's again steer on the highway and we all had a promise to our hearts; we would soon be like them. We ended with happy memories.

College days are the best days of life. We would no longer be students very soon. So we must have fun these days or else life won't be memorable.
